Inhabited Land — Mystical Shamanic Vision, Original Sensory Alchemy Oil, Gold Leaf & Crystals on Linen, 70×60 cm Step into the profound narrative of Inhabited Land, an evocative artwork that masterfully blends ancient folklore with contemporary artistic expression. This piece invites viewers into a sacred nocturnal landscape, where a celestial guardian presides over a serene steppe. The artist skillfully portrays the protective essence of the Great Mother and ancestral spirits watching over nomadic yurts, nestled under the vast, star-dusted Khukh Munhen Tenger.
The Myth This piece is part of a series exploring steppe traditions and the ancient sense of boundary between one's own world and the other. That invisible line drawn by a stream, separating home from wilderness, safety from the unknown, the human from that which is larger than human. It depicts the night steppe as it has been seen for thousands of years. The sky full of stars like water full of fish. Yurts nestled against the earth. Silence where you can hear the breath of sleepers and the distant voice of a drum. This piece is about the protection that exists even when we don't think of it. About boundaries guarded not by walls, but by spirits, fire, and ancestral memory. And about how important it is, sometimes, to simply lie down and sleep — trusting the Great Mother who never sleeps at all. May this night steppe remind you: even in your darkest hour, there is an invisible hand holding your sleep. Even beyond the thinnest yurt wall lies an entire world — but it cannot reach you as long as the fire burns and the ancestors remember. Executed with exquisite oil on linen canvas, enriched by genuine gold leaf and subtle crystal embellishments, this artwork offers a tactile and visual depth. It explores themes of spiritual sanctuary, the duality of the known and unknown worlds, and humanity's timeless connection to nature. An exceptional acquisition for collectors drawn to contemporary symbolic art, visionary narratives, and works that offer profound contemplation. It serves as a remarkable statement piece for any sophisticated modern interior, and an unforgettable gift that carries deep cultural resonance.
