Pomegranate Season #1–#2 (Diptych) — Original Sensory Alchemy Mixed Media on Paper, 2 pcs — 29.5×41.5 cm A doorway into the depth that looks back. Two sheets of acid-free paper, oil pastel and acrylic — the first artifact of a new collection.
The Myth Every winter, we look into the dark: in the depth of a night lake or a night sky, doing the slow work of rebuilding our new core from old layers. Each artifact of this alchemical process holds the wound, the pearl, and the seed that remains. This diptych is the first artifact of the new collection — the opening of the Pomegranate Season. On a white, rough sheet, matte black acrylic has fallen unevenly — as if thick charcoal had touched the paper. Its trace, torn and broken, creates a window of darkness in the white space of the sheet. From this darkness, silhouettes glow: hands or trees, dense and rough, as if drawn by the first frost — contours of trunks, branches, swirls of bark, like traces of raindrops on autumn puddles. And in this black-and-white, matte-frost world, the only coloured drops are scattered — scarlet pomegranate seeds. If you've ever felt that winter is not an ending, but a threshold — you already know why this belongs with you. If not, look closer. The seeds are still there.
