But I am not certain about humanity. I am certain about the Forest. It was here long before us. So long, that deep within it, hidden paths and lakes lead to "nowhere" — spaces so ancient that no human word was ever made for them. Touch a water lily leaf on the black surface of a lake — and beneath it, there is "nothing." "Nigredo." The unblinking eye of a raven from interstellar space, blinking back in surprise. A multi-petaled infinity stirs its tail — only vaguely resembling a gentle water lily flower.
The Forest is calm. It is serene. It has no one to argue with, nowhere to rush. It was. It is. And it knows — if even one seed remains alive, it will gladly be there, long after.

These works emerge from meditative observation of trees — first in graphic form, like ancient runes or hieroglyphs, and then evolve into a more complex, tactile-painterly form with additional sensory components. My new art pieces, "May Trees Rite #4–#7", are about sensory communication without words — the most honest and open way to have a dialogue with nature.

The vertical path, however, growing fearlessly skyward along the trunk of the tree of life, becomes a metaphor for a qualitative breakthrough: development not outward but upward, where solutions are born from the courage to discover the new. The small houses clinging to the road are a sign of a new inhabitation, possible only on this bold route.

The Myth
What if trees have names? Their own names. The ones they would use to call each other.
I spent time in forests, not as a tourist. I sat. I watched. One tree, then another. The rhythm of its branches. The map of its bark. The way it holds itself against the wind. Then I tried to write down what I heard — Signs. Abstract symbols, each one unique, like a name in a language no one speaks anymore.
It's an attempt to restore a lost dialogue. Old shamans believed that to name something is to make contact. I think they were right. Each sheet is ink on paper. Simple. Almost scientific. But inside that simplicity — hours of looking, listening, breathing with a single tree.
This series is a vocabulary for the non-human world. Nine graphic portraits of real trees — their abstract names, drawn with ink and brush. For those who have ever stood in a forest and felt watched — by the trees themselves. For those who suspect that nature is far more alive than we admit. This is for you.

These works emerge from meditative observation of trees — first in graphic form, like ancient runes or hieroglyphs, and then evolve into a more complex, tactile-painterly form with additional sensory components.
My series, May Trees Rite, is about sensory communication without words — the most honest and open way to have a dialogue with nature.
From sheet to sheet, as if over time in real life, they change their character and rhythm, forming an endless alphabet akin to the I Ching — the Book of Changes.
